About Moatrics
Moatrics is a research workspace for people who buy businesses and hold them for years.
I invest around a day job. For years that meant updating a dozen spreadsheets by hand every quarter, fifteen browser tabs I was afraid to close, and sticky notes across the monitor. The method was fine; the plumbing was the problem.
So I built the thing I wanted. Four questions about the business, three valuation models run side by side, four numeric thresholds, and every figure traceable back to the filing it came from. Nothing in it is a number you have to take on faith.
Moatrics is independent. Nobody here is incentivised to tell you a stock is a good idea — the subscription costs the same whether the tool says yes or no. The work is shown, the numbers are sourced, and the conclusion is yours.

What this is, and what it is not
- It is a research tool. It is not investment advice, and we are not registered investment advisors.
- It shows its work. Every score and price traces back to a public filing you can open.
- It does not predict prices, and it will never tell you to buy or sell anything.
- It will tell you when the data is thin. A company with five years of filings is not shown as if it had ten.
- Coverage today is US-listed stocks.
